Week of 12/7

We are entering a time of year that can be very challenging. The days are shorter, which means it's dark for longer, and the days are cold and gray. This is all so much harder with Coronavirus making it not possible to be outside the house or do things we used to enjoy doing. Here are some coping strategies for getting through these hard months:
1. Connect to family and friends virtually-even talking on the phone can be helpful or schedule a time to virtually watch a movie together or play a game together
2. Eat healthily and get enough sleep-this improves your mental and emotional strength
3. Stay active inside and outside-do an online video or walk outside to help you relax and reduce your stress
4. Take a break from your Smartphone and social media-social media newsfeeds can increase your stress so take a break from it or limit your time
5. Talk to someone (family, friend, or a professional)

Below I have included a exercise video you can do at home.
Post a comment for what other things you are doing to help yourself during this hard time.
