PreK & K Remote Learning!

4/14/2020

Hello PreK and Kindergarten families,
Instead of using Google classroom which requires a set-up email account for each student, I will be posting all learning materials on the PREK/K button above. When you click your button, it will bring you to a google folder. Each week I will upload a new project on Monday for Kindergarten and Wednesday for PreK! Hopefully this will be the easiest way to access information for the time being. Each week, email or remind message me a photo of your student's art.
I can't wait to see what the kids create!

Remote Learning Begins MONDAY 4-13-20

4/9/2020

Hello Henry Families!
Art Remote learning will take place in Google Classroom! By now, your student should have received an email invitation to join their ART google classroom. I will also post a doc with each homerooms "class code" to join, just in case I missed anyone.
Students will need to log in with their CPS gmail login and password. If you do not know this information, send me an email at rleslie@cps.edu! I am happy to help. Google classroom is where students will access assignments, learning activities, and turn in their artwork. Each week, I will check-in with students on their originally scheduled "art day." Digital learning is much different than we are used to in art, but with patience and persistence I believe we will be successful!

Next week, I will edit the buttons above with updated assignment information.

Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns!
Stay well, Ms. Leslie

My name is Ms. Leslie and I am your student’s art teacher! I studied Art Education and Ceramic art at Illinois State University. I am excited to begin my 4th year at Henry, and 7th year of teaching total! My goal is to create a strong foundation for creative thinking and making. I believe the results should not have more weight than the journey along the way. Some of the best ideas are created by taking risks and making mistakes!
