Preguntas

-After you log in on vocesdigital.com, click on Capitulo 4 - España
-Read “Preguntas” 
-Review the rules on when and how to use: 

¿Quién? 
Who? (singular)
¿Quiénes? 
Who? (plural)
¿Cuántos?/¿Cuántas? 
How many?
¿Cómo? 
How?
¿Dónde? 
Where?



It is important to remember singular-plural and masculine-feminine agreement.
Ejemplos:
¿Quién es el chico alto?
¿Quiénes son los chicos altos?
>>Notice that in the first question, chico is singular, so we use the singular quién. In the second sentence, chicos is plural, so we use the plural quiénes.
¿Cuántos carros tiene Ud.?
¿Cuántas amigas tienes?
>>Notice that in the first question carros is masculine and plural, ending in -os, so we use the masculine, plural cuántos. In the second question, amigas is feminine and plural, ending in -as, so we use the feminine, plural cuántas.
The question word cómo can take on different meanings when used with ser or estar. 
Ejemplos:
¿Cómo es tu amigo?
>>Here, the speaker is asking for a description of the friend. 
¿Cómo está tu amigo?
>>Here, the speaker is asking about the friend's state of being, that is, how the friend is feeling or what he is doing.
