Purpose: Students will  be able to use “Hay” in simple singular and plural sentences to describe quantity of a specific item. 

 
1) “Hay”  
-After you log in on vocesdigital.com, click on Capitulo 2 - Guatemala 
-Read “Hay” 
-Review the rules when and how to use “Hay” to form sentences and questions 


2) “Hay” - Assignment 
-After reviewing the rules in how  to use “Hay” to form sentences and questions 

-Do Actividad 14 : Write five sentences to describe different things you see in the classroom. Answer using complete sentences that include proper punctuation. Follow the model.

3) “Hay” - Project
-Do Actividad 15: 
1) Look at this picture of a classroom in Guatemala. Describe what you see in the classroom using hay. Think about which articles to use (el/la/los/las)

4) “Hay” - Project
-Do Actividad 15: 
2)Now think about classrooms that you visit throughout the day. Write about things that are in those classrooms. En el aula de ______ hay...sure to include the indefinite article or number for each item. Follow the model.
5) “Hay”
-Do Actividad 13: Look in your backpack and find at least three school supplies. Record yourself saying, in Spanish, what school supplies you have in your backpack. Start with the phrase "En mi mochila hay..." Be sure to use the indefinite articles or numbers as you list your items.
