Week 6: Remote Learning Assignments for May 18th-May 22nd

Monday May 18th-Friday May 22nd:
8:30-9:00: Breakfast, Make Bed, Brush Teeth

9:00-11:00: Gasser’s Office Hours: Via Email or Google Hangouts

9:00-9:25-Math Skill Practice: IXL: Math (Lookout for an email from me for a schedule of your IXL assignments I want you to complete during the remote learning period.) You need to attain a super score of at least 85 on each unit to receive full credit for this assignment. 

9:25-9:45-Reading: Independent Reading Time: Read a story that interests you! (I gave you a chapter book when I sent home materials March 16th, you can also read this if you do not have any other books to read at home! Please reach out to me via email if you need access to another novel.)

9:45-10:00: Movement Activities: Play soccer outside, Yoga, Push-ups/Sit-Ups 

11:20-11:40-Reading: Read Works or Wordly Wise 
Monday: Readworks "Field Trip" (all activities within the story)
Tuesday: Wordly Wise lesson 2 Test (If you choose not to take the test today, and decide to take it Thursday, use today as another make-up day)
Wednesday:  Readworks "Who Wants a Spiny Snack?" (all activities within the story)
Thursday: Wordly Wise lesson 2 Test (if you did not get the test done on Tuesday. If you did take the test Tuesday, use today as another make-up day)
Friday: Make up any work you haven't completed Readworks and/or Wordly Wise assignments (All currently and previously assigned readings  on Readworks and Activities 1-12 on Wordly Wise for Lesson 1 and  Lesson 2 and complete Lesson 2 test)

11:40-12:00-Enrichment:Puzzles, Board Games, Arts and Crafts

12:00-1:00: Lunch & Social Time

1:00-1:25-Reading Skill Practice: IXL or Lexia (Lookout for an email from me with the IXL assignments I want you to complete during the Remote Learning Period. Within Lexia, make sure you are working for a total of 60 minutes each week.) You need to attain a super score of at least 85 on each unit to receive full credit for this assignment. 
**Possible Schedule for IXL/Lexia: 
Monday: IXL
Tuesday: Lexia 
Wednesday: IXL and Lexia (do both for 10 minutes each)
Thursday: IXL
Friday: Lexia

1:40-2:40-Project: BrainPop: 
*This week we are focusing on Active and Passive Voice. Directions for accessing the lesson are listed below:
1. Login to brainpop.com
2. At the top right corner of the page, click login
3. Enter login information: username: cpstrial1   password: pop773
4. Click "English" at the top of the next screen (third button over from the left)
5. On the next screen, click "Grammar"
6. On this next screen, click "Active and Passive Voice" (1st row, 1st button from the left)
BrainPop Schedule for This Week (May 18-May 22):
Monday: Watch the "Movie" and start the "Graphic Organizer" from this page. 
Tuesday: Finish the "Graphic Organizer" and start "Worksheet" from this page
Wednesday: Finish "Worksheet" and start "Vocabulary" from this page. For each vocabulary word, you need to define each word from this list and use it in a complete sentence. You can do this on another blank sheet of paper or on note cards if you have them!
Thursday: Finish "Vocabulary" and start "Related Readings"
Friday: Re-watch the "Movie" one more time, finish "Related Readings" and take the "Quiz" from this page. 
*If you do not have a printer to print the worksheets within these lessons, just complete the assignment on a separate sheet of paper from your home.  
** For all of this BrainPop work, if you can, please email me a picture of the work you completed, and your quiz scores.
