THIS week, we are going to talk more about our FEELINGS.

We cannot forget about managing our feelings!

With so much change happening, it is more important than EVER to have strategies to manage our feelings. This goes for adults, too!

REMEMBER: When you are having strong feelings, you can  create a spot in your house called a COOL DOWN CORNER. See PDF Below for how to make your own!

Below is also a PDF for a feelings Check-in :)
Try to do a FEELINGS CHECK-IN once EVERY DAY!

THIS WEEK'S READ ALOUD is called THE COLOR MONSTER!
I absolutely LOVE this book!
LINK to read aloud:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWujGPb6mgo&t=77s

Try these activities EVERYDAY this week!

MONDAY:
Listen to the story and discuss with someone!

-What color was the Color Monster at the beginning of the story?
-What did the little girl suggest the color monster separate his feelings in?
-What color is happiness?
-What color is sadness?
-What color is anger?
-What color is fear?
-What color is calm?
-What does color monster rest in when he is calm?
-What s the color the color monster at the END of the story?
-What feeling do you think pink is for? Why?
-What color are you feeling today?
-What was your favorite part of the story and why?

TUESDAY:
FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE!!! See PDF Below
When you are experiencing negative emotions remember...
THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS! It was DOES HELP!
