Weather Update

Dear CPS Families and Friends,
Along with our partners at the City of Chicago, we are closely monitoring the weather to ensure that classes can safely resume tomorrow, Monday, January 28, 2019. Based on the current forecast, school will be in session tomorrow.
To ensure schools are ready for the arrival of students in the morning, school staff will continue to monitor and clear sidewalks and entryways prior to the start of school. All transportation and Safe Passage services will be deployed as usual.
The district will continue to monitor the weather through the week and will work to ensure schools are prepared for a safe and successful week. We are closely tracking the weather forecast for Wednesday, January 30, 2019, and an update on the district’s plans will be provided on Tuesday afternoon when we have greater certainty about Wednesday’s anticipated temperatures.
